Scott Rutherford has an extensive background in business and real estate, including executive level experience in a number of successful ventures. Having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, Scott worked for 15 years in the high-tech industry in sales and leadership capacities prior to focusing exclusively on real estate consulting services.

Mr. Rutherford is currently President at Elevated Capital Advisors/Elevated 1031, where he analyzes client needs, builds custom investment solutions, and sells high-end commercial properties to clients across the U.S. and overseas. Over the last 20 years, he has consulted with thousands of real estate investors representing more than $2 billion in real estate acquisitions.  Mr. Rutherford is a licensed real estate agent with Equity Summit Group.

Prior to his current venture, Mr. Rutherford enjoyed a successful career in the corporate world, where he built top-performing sales and marketing teams for companies like Novell, EchoStar, Sprint, and MStar Metro. Cutting his teeth on a door-to-door sales job in college, he quickly used his skills to climb the ranks within these organizations to the capacities of District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, National Account Manager, and Vice President of Sales.

Scott is head over heels for his amazing wife, Rachelle (also an accomplished business professional), this year celebrating 28 years of marriage. They live in Lindon, Utah with their six children, ages 10 to 22, who enjoy accompanying their parents on adventures around the world, particularly enjoying humanitarian efforts in Mexico, Ghana, Nepal, and Scott’s favorite, Costa Rica, which garnered enthusiastic participation by every member of their family.
